December 30, 2007
:: It's been hard out there for rappers but RnB Stars Mary J Blige and Alicia
Keys still manage to move records in this end of the year 2007. Alicia Keys new
effort 'As I Am' is still #3 after 6 weeks on the charts. This week, she has a
huge 62% sales increase and sell 474,000 additional units. She has sold an overall
impressive 2,350,000 units while after 15 weeks Kanye West has sold 1,848,500
copies of 'Graduation' and 50Cent moved 1,201,833 units of Curtis.
:: I've added better quality caps of 'Like You'll Never See Me Again' video.
December 28, 2007
:: Flo Rida's hit single "Low" featuring T-Pain has dethroned Alicia
Keys' "No One" to take over the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
The track's 2-1 rise follows increased airplay and digital sales of 178,000 units.
Keys, meanwhile, falls to No. 2 after five weeks atop the chart. On Hot R&B/Hip-Hop
Songs, Keys becomes only the second artist since this chart began using Nielsen
Music data in 1992 to succeed herself at No. 1, as "Like You'll Never See
Me Again" jumps 2-1 and trades places with "No One," which had
ruled for 10 weeks. Nelly was the first to make it happen in 2002 with "Hot
in Herre" and "Dilemma."
:: I've updated videography and filmography
sections.
:: I've uploaded video of 'No One' live performance from Japan, download it from
here. I've also added some caps, check them in
the gallery.
December 26, 2007

Alicia on this

here
and here.
:: Here are scans from dutch Stars magazine sent by Ilona and scan from french
Closer magazine sent by titouille24.
Big thanks girls! :)
December 24, 2007
:: Awesome Keisha
sent me Elmo's Christmas Countdown for my little nephew, so I cut part with Alicia
and uploaded it for you :) As I mentioned before Alicia and Elmo sang together
'Do You Hear What I Hear' along with Brooklyn Youth Chorus. Download it from vids
page, caps are here.
December 24, 2007

everyone! Little card from me to you :)
December 23, 2007
:: Don't forget to watch Elmo's Christmas Countdown tonight at 7pm on ABC, where

page :)
December 22, 2007
:: Fergie, in her latest interview, talks about artists being treated by record
companies as merchandise: "At some point, this business decided that the
artists can just be ringtones, just get these quick-hit songs. But other people
like Alicia Keys, an artist I really admire, spend time on every song, and I really
appreciate it as a listener". You can read it here.
:: My lovely Jill sent me a link to an audio interview with Miss Keys. It's from
Juize.fm music channel in Holland, listen to it on this
page. Thanks hun!
:: I've added 'No One' live performance from Japan tv. Download or watch it by

may do a duet together for the 50th annual Grammy Awards! That would be interesting!
:: Here are great photos from Turks and Caicos Music and Cultural Festival back
in August. Credit goes to Static
Vagabond.
December 21, 2007
:: Alicia led Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for
a fifth week on Thursday with 'No One' a tune that also logged a tenth week atop
the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs tally. However, Keys is in position to dethrone
herself on both charts before long with "Like You'll Never See Me Again."
That cut inched up one to No. 2 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and up six to No.
13 on the Hot 100.
:: I've got email from lovely Jill: "I've found Alicia on online magazine.
The website is called Bol.com and it's basically online store where you can buy
a lot of things. To promote her new album, they've put Alicia on the cover of
their online digital magazine called Bomvol. You can go through the pages on the
website and there is also an interview in video format with Alicia and a fragment
of her showcase in Amsterdam". Thanks so much Jill <3 Click
here to see it. I've added it to videos page, you can download
it right now. To view captures click on thumbs.
December 21, 2007
:: Alicia is back with her first album in four years,
and she's already talking about her next one: "I would really like to put
out another album relatively soon. Something that's a bit more stripped back...
I already have about six or sevenrecords for it that I love. I just want to keep
creating. The last record and the last tour, I went so hard that I kind of took
away that side of me. And when it came time to come back around to create again
it took me a while to find my groove.
I
just don't want to ever get that far away from it again." Read the full article
on LA
Times.
:: Check out the picture on the left, it's Alicia and Elmo from 'Elmo's Christmas
Countdown'! Soo cute :) The show will be aired on December 23 on ABC, don't forget

page. Caps are in the gallery.
December 20, 2007
:: Alicia Keys hopes Jamie Lynn Spears will become a spokesperson for safe sex.
The singer made her plea live on The View this week. Speaking about Spears, who
is 16 and pregnant, Keys said: "I think that maybe she can use this opportunity
to talk about the ways that it's really important to have safe sex and it's difficult
[for teens] to refrain and restrain but it's really important because it changes
your whole life. "It's a very serious thing." Talking about the effect
that early stardom has on young people, Keys, 27, told the three panellists and
the studio audience: "Different people have different lives and different
situations. I think that it is a very intense business and that in a lot of ways
you are exposed to so much so quickly, so often there's really no limit to what
you can get or have or do. "[Whatever you ask for] is there. "You can
be 13. You can be nine. You can be 47. It really doesn't matter. It's basically
handed to you on a platter. But the point is that it gets very hard and difficult
because most of the people in the industry are very young and we are influenced
easily". When asked why she had not fallen into that trap like Amy Winehouse
and Michael Jackson, Keys said: "I think it really depends on your personal
situation - how you were raised and who's around you. Read the full article here.
Video from the show is ready to download, Alicia's performance
will be added soon.
December 20, 2007
:: I've added many more pictures from Ruby Skye performance along with photos
from meet and greet after the show. Thanks to Christina for heads up!
December 20, 2007
:: Dakota Fanning and Alicia Keys are in final negotiations to join the cast of
"The Secret Life of Bees," a female-oriented coming-of-age tale based
on the Sue Monk Kidd best-seller. Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson and Sophie Okonedo
are already on board the Fox Searchlight project, which is scheduled to go into
production next month in North Carolina. The studio is planning on a release later
in 2008. "Bees," a drama set in the Southern U.S. in the 1960s, centers
on teenager Lily Owens (Fanning) and her friend Rosaleen (Hudson) who flee their
hometown to escape their harsh upbringing and seek to uncover the mysteries of
Lily's late mother. Along the way, they encounter three beekeeping sisters (Latifah,
Okonedo, Keys) who take the pair in to their South Carolina home. Gina Prince-Bythewood
will direct "Bees" from her own adaptation, which was completed before
the writers strike began last month. Monk Kidd's novel was a sensation when it
was released five years ago, spending more than two years on the New York Times
best-seller list.
:: It's not officially confirmed, but I found a news that Miss Keys will perform
at Gucci's fund-raiser on February 6th. The event, dubbed "A Night to Benefit
Raising Malawi and UNICEF," will take place in a purpose-built structure
on the North Lawn of the United Nations. The 18-acre U.N. site on Manhattan's
East River is international territory, which means that it doesn't belong to any
one country or government, and the Gucci soiree is the first of its kind to ever
take place there. It promises to be quite a party. Hosted by the luxury house
and Madonna, Gucci tapped Alicia Keys, Timbaland and Rihanna for special musical
performances.
:: Elena sent me scans from german Petra magazine, check them in gallery. Thx
Elena! Alicia is also on the cover of dutch Stars magazine, I'm looking for scans
:)
December 20, 2007
:: "We're about to see an extravaganza of a lifetime!" the announcer
shouted from the stage. All eyes in the room suddenly looked up to the ceiling,
where a bundle of white twigs had been tied together with Christmas lights to
resemble a massive flying horse that seemed like it might swoop down and breathe
fire on the curtains. But the announcer just meant that Alicia Keys was about
to come on and play a few nice tunes. Granted, it's probably been some time since
the soul sensation headlined a venue as small as Ruby Skye. Last time she was
in the Bay Area, it was for a pair of sold-out shows at the Paramount Theatre
in Oakland. Four days earlier it was Madison Square Garden, topping a bill that
featured Fall Out Boy, Avril Lavigne and the Jonas Brothers. But on Monday, Keys
crammed her Vegas-sized revue into the intimate Union Square nightclub to help
radio station 106.1 KMEL-FM usher in the holiday season and spread the buzz around
her new No. 1 album, "As I Am." Read the full
story. Here
are four photos from the show.
December 19, 2007
:: Alicia rules the holiday radio waves. besides her endless stay at No.1 with
'No One' (now up to nine weeks), she now occupies the anchor slot in the top 10
with Like You'll Never See You Again, which is the fastest-rising song in the
top 10. Read
more.
:: I've added Giant magazine photoshoot by Kenneth Cappello. Click on thumbs.
December 19, 2007
:: The View co-hosts discussed the Mike Huckabee Christmas ad when Joy Behar moved
to quote Ron Paul, ideologically libertarian, whom Behar calls "a very staunch
Republican," who quoted Sinclair Lewis: "When Fascism comes to the country,
it will be wrapped in the flag, carrying a cross."When they played the advertisement,
Behar moaned "we dont have to listen to him do we?". Read the
transcript (featuring Alicia) on this
page. Hopefuly, video interview with Keys will be added soon.
:: I've uploaded a video from Oslo's intimate showcase with parts of The Thing
About Love, LYNSMA and Superwoman performances. It's really worth to see, Alicia
talks about the songs and laughs with the audience. You can watch or download
it from here. Big thx to Lene! <3
December 18, 2007
:: BET Networks announced The BET Honors, an evening dedicated to recognizing
the achievements and contributions of distinguished African American leaders in
their fields. Hosted by Cedric 'The Entertainer', The BET honors will celebrate
and recognize Alicia Keys, Tyra Banks, Dr. Cornel West and more. The inaugural
event will take place at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC on Saturday, January
12, and premiere on the network during Black History Month on Friday, February
22 at 8 pm ET/PT. Read
more.
:: Ciara has already made a New Year's resolution - to collaborate with Alicia
Keys. The Goodies singer is so desperate to team up with Keys on a track, she
has made it a priority mission for 2008. She says, "I've always thought she
was very beautiful and very talented but I'm starting to have a different respect
for her and her music".
:: Watch the behind the scenes exclusive of Giant Magazine's photo shoot with
Alicia, click
here. It's great! Thx to toni for this link. Here are caps from the video.
December 18, 2007
:: Alicia Keys is at the top of her game now more than ever. The Grammy award
winning singer-songwriter's latest release As I Am has sold more than 1.6 million
copies in the U.S. in only its first month of release. The J Records release has
sold in excess of 2.3 records worldwide. Debuting at No. 1, As I Am has been in
the top three albums for four weeks on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, flipping
spots with the Eagles and Josh Groban. Alicia captured two Grammy nominations
for her single "No One," which tops six individual Billboard charts.

December 15, 2007
:: In a recent interview with Giant
magazine, Alicia revealed that the talk show queen had advised her to maintain
total secrecy about her relationships. When Keys was asked about her rumoured
romance with her producer, she replied: "That's what they've been saying
for a while now, but I don't usually address that question. Oprah told me never
to tell - and I can't disobey Oprah!". However, Alicia did admit that she
has found a perfect partner for herself. "I definitely found my partner.
I know he is somebody who will always be special to me and that we're always going
to be in each other's lives". She also owned up to her secretive nature during
the initial stages of a relationship. "It's my nature to let them show me
who they are first before I show them who I am. But once I'm in love with somebody,
I'm the best girlfriend you could ever have," she said. Alicia said that
her tendency to hold back had been emotionally draining at times, especially when
she battled depression. "I was feeling so sad all the time, and I couldn't
shake it," she says. "I started burying my feelings, and it got to a
point where I couldn't even tell my family or my friends, 'I'm twisted,' or 'I'm
exhausted,' or 'I'm so angry.' I became a master of putting up the wall so that
I was unreadable," she said.
:: Many new photos from Jingle Ball press room, concert and backstage have been
added.
December 14, 2007
:: On Friday, December 21, 2007, on the rooftop of the Rockefeller Center, Alicia
will be taping two songs for Carson Daly's New Year's Eve special! Also, on Monday,
December 17, 2007 in San Francisco, Alicia will hold an exclusive buzz event where
AKFC members can come hear Alicia sing and have a meet and greet with her. Be
sure to check out AKFC

:: Alicia is on the cover of Black Beat mag this month. View it here.
Thx to Monium for news :)
:: I've added first photos from Z100 Jingle Ball in Madison Square Garden.
December 14, 2007
:: Alicia Keys is showing no signs of budging atop the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot
R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts, where her track "No One" is No. 1 for
a fourth and ninth week, respectively. Keys' biggest challengers remain Timbaland's
"Apologize" featuring OneRepublic, up 3-2 on the Hot 100, and Flo Rida's
"Low" featuring T-Pain, which rises 4-3 and is the fastest growing track
at radio. But another Keys song is on the move on both the Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop
Songs: "Like You'll Never See Me Again" rises 29-19 on the former and
9-3 on the latter, where it is the greatest airplay gainer. Read more on Billboard.com.
:: I've uploaded three videos and mp3s from Nobel Peace Prize Concert: No One,
Human Nature and Fallin'. You can get them all from videos page. Enjoy!
December 13, 2007

My friend Keisha recorded it for me, so I will upload video asap.
:: Saying "For me, the Nobel Peace Prize is an extremely distinguished award
for people who truly do serious work to make major change in the world,"
Alicia Keys took the stage Tuesday in Oslo to help present a concert in honor
of this year's Nobel Peace Prize laureates, former US Vice President Al Gore and
the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Among the other stars performing
were Annie Lennox, KT Tunstall, Kylie Minogue, Melissa Etheridge, and more. I've
added much more great hq photos from the concert, check them.
December 13, 2007
:: It is official - Alicia will play Lena
Horne in a movie on the music legend and not Janet Jackson as was rumoured
earlier. Oprah Winfrey, who has taken over the project, wanted Keys in the lead
role. She said: 'We are going to start filming next year. And we have got Alicia.'
The casting seems to be making sense since Keys and Horne share a lot in common.
Both were from New York and became famous quickly. Keys is a spokesperson for
several AIDS organisations and Horne was heavily involved in the civil rights
movement.
:: Scans from Giant magazine have been added. Thx to sexy Jackie for scanning
these for us! :)
December 12, 2007
:: I got the most incredible gift! My amazing friend Ivana was one of the lucky
guests at Alicia's showcase in Oslo. There was meet&greet and they had a good
while to chat... The best part (for me, personally) was when Ivana asked Alicia:
"Do you know of Alicia Keys Online?"
And her eyes lit up, she said: "Yes I love that site!" :)
Then I said: "You know the girl Roxana, she lives in Poland...".
Alicia was like :"Yea yea..".
And I kept:" You never go to Poland".
Alicia: "I know, it's not easy to go everywhere".
I continued: "Roxana doesn't know that I am doing this, but I was wondering
if you could sign this cover for her. I know she will appreciate this so much
and she'll be so thankful and happy."
She took the cover and signed it, we kept talking and both Lene and I said how
we love AKO.
And Alicia said "She is so good I'm about to hire her myself" !!!! :)
Isn't that a great story or what? In my opinion this is the story of the year!
You can view my signed cover and autograph by clicking on thumbs below. It says:
"Roxanna
AKOnline
Love & thanks
You are incredible!
Alicia Keys"
I've also added it to the site logo on the right. I'm so proud of it :) Ivanka,

:: Alicia Keys is living her dream. She's been honored with 9 Grammys, 11 Billboard
Music Awards, 3 American Music Awards and countless other accolades. Alicia has
just released her album, 'As I Am' that like her first three CDs, reached number
one on the Billboard Album Chart. With two motion pictures and her new album,
she has had a very busy year. Alicia Keys visited VOA's Larry London when she
recently stopped in Washington. After graduating as valedictorian from the prestigious
Professional Performing Arts School in New York at the age of 16, Alicia Keys
signed a record contract with the So So Def label. Although she wrote a song for
the film Men In Black, her own music never attracted much attention. It was not
until Clive Davis discovered her in 2000 that her career would take off. Read
more and download video interview from VOA
News.

:: In August 2006, Bob Dylan released his first album in five years, Modern Times.
What, his devotees wondered, would it sound like? What was on Dylan's mind these
days? The answer came in the opening track, 'Thunder on the Mountain': "I
was thinkin'about Alicia Keys, couldnt keep from crying...". This was
something of a surprise - not least of all to Keys herself. "I didnt
quite know what to think" she admits with a laugh. "When somebody first
told me about it, I thought it was a joke. I was like, 'Why?'. They said, 'I don't
know, I thought maybe you'd know'. But does it get any cooler than that? I don't
think so." For more, get the latest Issue of Performing Songwriter here.

:: The Christmas season starts early in Tokyo and Alicia Keys was there to help
it get going. She made a brief appearance at a Tokyo office building Thursday
to sing a few songs from her new album and wish a crowd of several hundred a happy
holiday season - with a three-storey-tall Christmas tree lit up in bright pink
behind her. "My new name is Alicia Trees," she said. Keys has a lot
to celebrate. Her album, released Nov. 13, has risen to the top of the Japanese
charts. She said the album's success shows the universal appeal of her music.
"I want to reach all kinds of listeners. It means a lot to me that people
from all places can appreciate the music," she said. "I can't wait to
come back for a big tour". First, however, she said she wants to go back
to the United States to spend a quiet holiday season. "Christmas is always
special for me," she said. "I like to have a big meal with my family".
Here are photos from her visit.

:: With the release of her third studio album, Alicia Keys got an early Christmas
present. The album went to No. 1 on the Billboard charts and sold 742,000 copies
in its first week, the second-biggest first-week sales of 2007 so far (behind
Kanye West) - and a career high for Ms. Keys. From the emotional lead single "No
One" to anthems like "Superwoman" the album features carefully
crafted pop songs embedded with vintage touches, such as keyboard sounds reminiscent
of Stevie Wonder. The Wall Street Journal asked her about her influences, her
fans and the music industry. Read the full interview by clicking

:: Already locked in the pole position with the country's No. 1 album and its
No. 1 single 'No One', Alicia Keys unfurls another likely chart-topper with this
warm midtempo ballad 'Like You'll Never See Me Again'. As fine a piece of classic
soul as you'll find on the contemporary R&B landscape, the song features a
tastefully restrained but stirring performance from Keys as it blends a gospel
vibe with a Prince-savvy pop sensibility. The tune was cowritten by longtime Keys
collaborator (and rumored boyfriend) Kerry Brothers and is already leapfrogging
up the charts as it sets its sights on the top spot.

::
Megastar Alicia Keys like you've never seen her before! The Grammy Award winner
spends an hour with Tyra and nothing is off limits, including what it was like
growing up bi-racial, Alicia's rise in the music world and the untold story of
her near-nervous breakdown that drove her to take a break from the industry. Then,
Tyra takes her back in time as they look at Alicia's trademark hairstyles over
the years. The singer finds herself in the hot seat when Tyra asks questions she's
never answered, including her bra size and if she has ever played piano in the
nude. Finally, Alicia brings the house down as she performs two songs off her
new album. Click here
to watch a short clip from the show. It will be aired on Monday, November 26th.

:: Alicia Keys has revealed she's planning a collaboration with The White Stripes
- and says she can't wait. "I'm dying to work with The White Stripes!"
she says. "We are going to make something crazy. We tried to work it out
for this record, but the timing wasn't right. I know we'll be able to do it next
time." The US songstress - whose new album, As I Am, hits the shops this
month - is also hoping to work with American rock band Queens Of The Stone Age
at some point in the future. "I think they've got a simple approach to music,
but it has a soul and a knock to it that makes me think we could do something
very special".
:: A day after debuting at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 with "As I Am",
Alicia Keys assumes control of the Billboard Hot 100 with "No One" which
inches up from No. 2. The track sold 210,000 downloads, an 88% increase from last
week, and remains No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for a sixth week. Read

November 21, 2007
:: Alicia has posted up a new blog on KrucialKeys
blog thanking the fans for making her album #1 in the country. You can also
download mp3 with her performance of 'How To Save A Life'.
:: She's released four albums over the course of her career, and all four have
debuted at #1 on the Billboard top 200, including her most recent studio offering,
As I Am, which first landed in record shops last week. What this all means, at
least in sports terms, is that R&B songbird Alicia has a perfect 4-for-4 record.
But a fourth #1 opening isn't the only thing Keys is thankful for this week. With
742,400 copies sold, As I Am earns the distinction of being the singer's best-performing
debut. Her 2001 LP Songs in A Minor sold 235,800 copies to enter the top 200 at
#1 while 2003's The Diary scanned more than 618,300 copies, her 2005 Unplugged
set sold close to 196,000 units. Plus, As I Am, according to SoundScan totals,
walked away with the chart's peak position, with her closest competitor, Josh
Groban's Christmas-themed Neel, trailing at #2 with sales reported at 223,000.

:: Alicia Keys has lent her support to Hollywood's striking writers by performing
at a rally in LA. An estimated 4,000 writers and supporters were entertained as
the singer preformed her hits from new album. The writers were in the 16th day
of their protest over internet royalties and other issues. The strike has hit
television productions hardest, with filming stopping immediately for many programmes
following the start of the action. The two sides agreed to return to the bargaining
table on November 26, but the union's 12,000 members remain on strike. I've uploaded

:: Last night at the AMA in LA, there was quite an array of flashy sequined and
jeweled dresses from black to silver to gold. Alicia Keys looked very sexy in
a little black and gray sequined and beaded dress with patent leather criss-cross
straps in the back. Ashley Tisdale dazzled the red carpet in a just-below-the-knew
silver sequin number, and Vanessa Hudgens was radiant in a gold sequined dress
with cuff and box clutch to match. Read

:: "Harlem is where I got my personal swagger from". Good luck getting
Alicia Keys to ever leave Manhattan. The 27-year-old, who grew up in Hell's Kitchen
and Harlem - where she currently resides in a beautiful brownstone - finds all
her favorite destinations in the same area code. Whether she's shopping for a
flashy new lid or checking out a show, Keys - whose third studio album, "As
I Am," was released Tuesday - can't get enough of the Big Apple. Now, after
all the hard work is over, the nine-time Grammy winner plans to get reacquainted
with all her favorite digs. This is her New York. Read more on New
York Post.

:: Alicia Keys has a new song called Superwoman: "Even when I'm a mess, I
still put on a vest with an 'S' on my chest. Oh yes, I'm a superwoman". "I'm
talking about every woman who has felt weak before and is still so strong even
in her weakness," she says on the line from New York. "But that's me.
I'm talking about me". Ask Keys what her weaknesses are, and she says "ex-weaknesses.
Because I'm new and improved. I was a very chronic people-pleaser. Like, chronic.
To the point where everyone else came first, even people I didn't know. This might
come as a surprise to her fans. Ever since she hollered the empowering A Woman's
Worth, Keys has represented female strength and dignity, an anomaly in a music
scene dominated by sexualised, well, people-pleasers. "I think I'm a person
who looks for strength. That's cool. As women we definitely have to feel strong
about ourselves." Read the article here.
:: I've added hq photos from yesterday's exclusive appearance and performance
at the Bellavardo Studios in Los Angeles, where Alicia looked amazing. Today she

November 17, 2007
:: Alicia Keys' new album is all about self-empowerment, and it's no wonder why:
she recently revealed to Entertainment Weekly that she has battled depression.
When a family member fell ill in summer 2006, "It made me finally stop,"
Keys said. "Nothing else was more important - no work, no costumes, no anything.
I was forced to slow down, look at my life and decide who I wanted to be. It all
got very low at first because I was very depressed and I didn't understand why."
After taking a monthlong trek across Egypt - during which she was only accompanied
by a tour guide - and returning to the States, she promised herself that she "was
going to be courageous enough to tell whoever is in my life what was going on.
I became brutally honest. I would go straight up to people and say, 'Guess what?
This is over. So what's gonna happen from now on is this: If you're feeling that,
great. If not, bye.' Some people didn't like it, and they didn't like me being
so clear and set on what I wanted. But I found that I took their power away."
The issue hits newsstands Monday. Photos can be found in the
gallery.
