Keys also will be having an official fan club set up as well. Read more.
> Thembisa S. Mshaka of Essence spoke with Glenn Lewis about how he felt touring with Alicia Keys recently. Lewis gushed, "It was a blessing. So much fun, it was dreamlike. So often you hear the story that the opening act and the headliner never cross paths and it's just business, but Alicia shared her experiences with me; success hasn't changed her in any way. I'm honored that she heard my single and liked it enough to contact my manager and invite me out on tour." Read more.

> You would think that after winning five Grammies and selling close to 5 million albums, Alicia Keys might find time for a summer vacation. On the contrary, the braided wonder is delving deeper into work mode, touring and recording an album. "First I'm finishing up the second half of my tour, which starts July 3 in New Orleans at the Essence festival," Keys said, outlining her plan of attack. "In the process, I'm always writing, recording, getting out ideas. After I finish this second half of the tour, I'm going to be in the studio hard, working on this next album. [I'm] really, really ready for it. It's gonna be off the hook." Click here for more.

> Alicia who is only 21 has been extremely successful with her debut album "Songs In A Minor" and her hit "Fallin'". This year she has received 5 Grammy Awards which hasn't changed her at all. However, journalists have become even more interested in her life, making up stories when they couldn't get any. Miss Keys has been very patient. "I don't know why it all happens, but I can understand that some of them are only after the dark side of people. If there is any positive information about somebody, people expect a negative one about the same person. This is how they expect things to be. I don't take seriously everything they write about me as there is little information that can affect me. I am only 21 and haven't been into business for long. Maybe when I'm older I'll have more scandals about myself" - said Alicia Keys.

Even Keys herself was surprised about her meteoric rise to fame. She told reporters that she's amazed at how quickly her debut album, "Songs in A Minor," found a broad audience. "The process of making the record was a long process, but (commercial acceptance) was a little faster than I actually thought it would be," Keys said. Thealbum went multiplatinum and won her five Grammy awards last month, including song of the year for "Fallin'." Keys also picked up three Soul Train Music Awards last week. The musician plans to use her newfound success to help causes she believes in. She said she's looking forward to next month's Urban Aid 2 benefit, which was put together by rap mogul Russell Simmons. Even Keys herself was surprised about her meteoric rise to fame. She told reporters that she's amazed at how quickly her debut album, "Songs in A Minor," found a broad audience. > Alicia Keys has revealed that her recent single, 'A Woman's Worth', was inspired by a shampoo commercial. In an interview with BBC Radio 1, the Grammy award-winning singer explained: "I was actually, really relaxed and I was watching TV. One commercial came on and it said: "Because I'm Worth It'. "I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm worth it, I'm worth it!'. And the thought of being worth it just really made an impact on me."
> Keys Says People Were A Little Mean To Her Early On. Alicia Keys spoke with Jacqui Swift of the Sun about how her singing wasn't so well received when she was in school and just beginning her singing career. Keys said, "I remember one time I was at school. I was just starting to sing to people. People were a little bit mean because they wanted me to be a certain way and look a certain way and it made me question things. I remember coming home and lying under the covers and had a little cry. When I got up I went to the piano and that was the first time I wrote a song called Troubles on my album."

> Alicia Keys was featured on Capital FM's 'Takeover' where she was interviewed and played some of her favorite tunes. When asked about playing at the House of Commons earlier this month, Keys responded, "I loved it, I loved every minute of it. It was a time for me to meet a lot of kids from a lot of different schools and also be able to just talk about different things and combine politics with music and youth. It was just truly an individual experience, I had a ball. Even though I think when some people think of the House of Commons they think of something stuffy, we really had a wonderful time, and I think it was a great experience." > Alicia was shocked at the news that started to appear in media that she is a lesbian."I've heard those lies, but I guess I have to expect such lies about myself being a person connected with music industry. People need something to talk about. This information is a lie, but fortunately it does not affect mt life at all. I am not a lesbian, and I'm not saying this to proove that I am not as I perfectly know who I am. I am a woman who loves real, honest and caring men. This is gosspi which I've just starighten up, so let's better do something else. I have been going out with a man, whom I've known for long and it's great to be with him" said Keys, she however wouldn't let us know his name. My commentary: finally, maybe people cut out talking crap and drooling about that subject.
> At Clive Davis' annual Grammy Eve party last year, the music mogul rolled out his latest hot prospect, a singer/pianist Alicia Keys. Twelve months later, she was Grammy's golden girl, taking home five trophies. So who did Davis introduce this year? He may only be 13, but R&B singer Mario is poised to be the next Clive Davis-groomed success story. In fact, Keys produced two songs for the Baltimore native's as-yet-untitled debut album, due in June. Walking the red carpet with Davis, the youngster said he does not feel any pressure to live up to Keys. "Success comes from just being yourself and being natural with what you do," he said. Mario, whose first single, the Campbell-produced "Just a Friend," will hit the airwaves later in March, is confident he will be around a while. When asked if he was able to convince Keys to sing with him, he answered, "Nah, it's not a duet. Maybe next album." Later at Davis' party, Mario showed his confidence by performing Stevie Wonder's "Knocks Me Off My Feet".

> Here is what Alicia said right after the ceremony: "I'm very excited, I'm very thrilled. I hope I didn't come off too silly in front of the mic, but you get a little overwhelmed when you're up there." Asked if she was concerned about coming up with a worthy successor to her debut album, Keys exhibited commendable poise. "I'm not worried one bit," she said. "The way you top anything is to create from your heart. I'm ready for the next album." She unselfishly credited her manager Jeff Robinson with teaching her the fundamentals for success. "He taught me to be involved in my career and never let anyone take too much control," Keys said. "People always tell you that you can't do something, but that's not true. You can do anything."
